Bless
Bless is a conceptual fashion label founded in 1997 by Paris/Berlin duo Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag. Their creations are somewhat a mix between art and fashion; new solutions for day-to-day life, which - depending on the product - come out in limited editions of 20 to 2000 pieces of one particular design.
BLESS situate themselves between art and fashion - for Heiss and Kaag there are no distinctions between these fields. Their production, which sits on the fine line between art object and design, high-function and high fashion, is always unique and marked by the recycling and adaptation of unexpected items put to use in a totally new way.
Along with the BLESS label, they have exhibited internationally including the New Musuem in Wiemar, Manifesta 4 in Frankfurt, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the SpeakFor Gallery in Tokyo. They have also been featured in an article in Metropolis M, participated in a group exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam and recently mounted a solo exhibition at Droog & Co.
